Mudheads and Hot Dogs... OOPS! Paint Out August 30th...

WHAT: OOPS! August 2015 Paint Out / Cook Out... organized by Bernie Rosage.

WHEN: Sunday, August 30, 2015 from Noon until... Model poses from 12:30 to 4pm with breaks at 30 minute intervals. We will collect a donation for the model.

WHERE: Bernie's House, 414 Brentwood Ave. (near Downtown) Jacksonville, NC 28540.

DIRECTIONS: Just off of Johnson Blvd near the bike trail along Marine Blvd in town. Simply set your GPS for 414 Brentwood Ave. Jacksonville, NC 28540

WHY: Simply put... we LOVE gathering with like minded artists and painting from life!

THERE'S MORE: We are having a cookout after we paint! Bernie and Tami will provide the hot dogs and buns and those coming can bring a side dish and drinks.

What the heck is OOPS and how do I join the FUN?

There are plenty of beautiful trees and homes at and around Bernie's house for the landscape painters... BUT... we will have a live model who will pose for us outside in natural light from 12:30-4pm. Bernie will share what he learned at the John Ebersberger workshop he attended this summer. John was a student of Henry Henshe at the Cape Cod School of Art. Henshe was a student of Charles Hawthorne... founder of the school. Bernie will work in the Cape Cod style of doing a "mudhead" but artists can paint in any style they'd like. If you choose to paint a mudhead you will need plenty of color, palette knives, and a stiff support. If you choose to paint the model we are asking for a donation for their service.

Newbies welcome... all mediums and skill levels... simply show up with your gear and be prepared to have fun!

No worries... there are NO art-snobs in our group!

Just bring a side dish and fellowship with us at the cook out too!
