Entries for the Onslow Art Society 46th Annual Spring Art Show will be accepted Sunday, March 30th from 1:00-4:00 PM, and on Monday the 31st from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Details...

The Onslow Art Society is presenting its 46th annual spring art show and invites all North Carolina artists, 18 years old and older and not a high school student, to participate.

The show will be open to the public from April 6-25.

Work to be judged will be received from 1-4 p.m. March 30 and from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 31 at the Bradford Baysden Gallery at the Council for the Arts, 826 New Bridge St., Jacksonville, where the show will be held.

Juror will be Anne Granville Brennan, who teaches Design and Art Appreciation at East Carolina University and is a Teaching Fellow consultant for the N.C. A+ Schools, an arts-integrated school reform program.

All work must be original, executed within the past two years and not shown in a previous Onslow Art Society show.

More than $1,000 in cash awards will be given, plus a $200 purchase award and some gift certificates.

To avoid having work rejected, interested artists can familiarize themselves of all rules and restrictions with an entry form, available by e-mailing gburke@ec.rr.com, or calling (910) 455-1441 or (910) 455-9840.

The competition is made possible by suport from the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the state of North Carolina and the National Endowment of the Arts.
